The best thing(s) about the race:
• Close aid stations (aid every 4 miles)
• Ability for crew to set up canopy along the course easily.
• Snack options at aid stations. Both warm and cold snacks, electrolyte drink, soda, and vegan options.
What was less than ideal: Course description and route was not accurate. Understandable because there was rain the week before, however the amount of mud and water on the new course was not conveyed.
What I didn't expect: Knee deep water crossings.
Race organization: Registration and packet pick up were smooth.
Fuel and aid stations: 10/10
Additional info: This was the first year at Colt Creek State Park
Overall grade: 4 stars
