FAQ

Q. What is a 6.19k?

A. It is a "long 5k". With Juneteenth being June 19th (6/19), we wanted a distance was representative of the date and one that was a little more challenging than a "normal" 5k. But not too long as to require additional training or preparation. If you can finish a 5k, the extra half-mile won't be too much of a challenge.

Q. What is a 1.9k?

A. Sticking with our Juneteenth theme, the 1.9k is just a little bit over a mile aka a "long mile". This distance was picked because it should be easily walked in 20 minutes or less, it is perfect for families or those who don't want to go the whole 6.19k distance.

Q. Is this event family friendly?

A. Both distances and courses are designed with those who may prefer to walk instead of run. So yes, both distances are family friendly! You can also bring well behaved dogs to this event.
