Wheatlake Festival of Races - VIRTUAL 2021

When: May 14, 2021
Where: Big Rapids, MI
Race type(s): 13.1M,10K,5K

Join the fight against cancer and participate in the return of the Wheatlake Festival of Races, a virtual event that runs Friday, May 14 through Sunday, May 16, 2021.

What is a virtual race?

A virtual event is an opportunity for you to celebrate your training and fight cancer on your individual schedule while avoiding large crowds. A virtual race gives you the flexibility to run or walk when and where you choose during the weekend of Friday, May 14 and Sunday, May 16. This family-friendly event can be held on the unmarked Big Rapids Riverwalk and the White Pine Trail courses OR participants may choose their own course. Race shirts and participatory medals will be awarded to all who sign up for a running event.

We look forward to seeing your Wheatlake Festival weekend experiences with your friends, kids or furry race partners! Share photos to danielle.wells@spectrumhealth.org or text to 517.420.2404.

Will I get a shirt?

Yes, if you register before Sunday, April 18, 2021 you will be guaranteed a shirt. If you register after April 18, extra shirts will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Kids shirts are also available for purchase during registration and in the race store for $10.

Shirt pick-up will be Thursday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital Professional Office Building, 705 Oak Street Ste 5, DOOR A, Big Rapids, MI 49307.

Do I need to submit my time?

No. A virtual race encourages you to run at your own pace. Anyone can join to run, jog, or walk. The Wheatlake Festival of Races provides a reason to keep active and get friends and family involved. We all can help lift each other up.

When do I have to complete my virtual race by?

You must complete your virtual run or walk by sundown on Sunday, May 16.

Where does my money go?

Race proceeds will benefit the Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Fund, helping patients at the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center.
