Super Bowl 5k

Where: Lansing

Come to beautiful Downtown Lansing in front of our State Capitol and kick off your Super Bowl Sunday! Run a fast accurate race, stay healthy and fit and then go and enjoy your Super Bowl Party!

Location: The start and finish of the race is in front of the Michigan State Capitol Building.

Start Time: 10 AM

Entry Fee: $25 until February 4th. $30 from February 5th to to February 12th

Entry Fee 18 and under: $15 until February 4th. $20 from February 5th to to February 12th

Be sure to preregister. There is no race day registration.

Packet pick up: At Playmakers, Saturday 2/12 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Playmakers store is located at 2299 West Grand River Ave. Okemos, MI 48864. You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf. Race day packet pickup will begin at 8:30 am in front of the State Capitol Building.

Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.

Age Group Awards: Medals to top 3 in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Overall Awards: Medal and $25 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female: Overall, Master (Over 40), Grand Master (Over 50), and Senior (Over 60)

Awards will be available race day at the awards table starting at 10:30 am. The awards table will be outside located near the refreshments.

Course:The start and finish is on Capitol Ave in front of the State Capitol. The starting mats will remain open for 3 minutes. After 10:03 we will close the starting line. This will be an accurate and fast 3.1 mile course on the streets of Downtown Lansing. Course map and description.

SNOW! If there is snow the morning of the race the course will be plowed and salted!

Parking: Parking is free on all downtown streets on the weekends. Park along Michigan Ave and Washington St., or the side streets along Washington. The 2 lots in front of the Lugnut Baseball Stadium on Michigan Ave.and the lot at the Lansing Center on the corner of Michigan Ave. and Cedar St. are free on the weekends, you may come and go as you please with no need for a permit.

Proceeds from the race go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.
