The NC DNA Day 5K is an annual run to support science education in North Carolina. Specifically, funds raised from this event will support North Carolina DNA Day – an annual event that connects NC scientists with high school classrooms across the state to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists, to support North Carolina science teachers, and to bridge the gap between North Carolina’s leading research enterprises and high school science classrooms. NC DNA Day sends over 150 scientists into high schools each year, and since 2010 has reached over 75,000 students statewide! The run takes place on the beautiful campus of UNC Chapel Hill.
