The series, established in 1964 by Shore A.C, is a weekly 5k race and 1500m kids run held on the perimeter of Lake Takanassee. Every Monday between June 21st and August 16th, participants toe the line at 6:30pm. Medals are awarded to the top 3 overall finishers and age group winners in the 5k and the top 3 girls and top 3 boys in the 1500m. Ribbons are awarded to all kids run participants. At the end of the series, consistent top performers earn overall series awards.
