About This Event
The 2022 Kalamazoo Klassic 10k Run and 5k Run/Walk, presented in partnership by MRC Industries, Inc. and the Kalamazoo Area Runners (KAR), is scheduled for Saturday, June 18th. The 10k Run begins at 7:30am and the 5k Run/Walk begins at 9:00am. The 5k Run has been selected as the RRCA National Championship Race.
A virtual option will be offered for both the 10k run and 5k Run Walk.
For the virtual option, runners and walkers run the 5k and/or 10k course of their choice and input results directly into the system upon completion of the distance (s) All times must be entered by 11:59 pm on Sunday, July 3rd to be included in the official results. The virtual race is not eligible for age group awards.
The cost to participate with a high quality custom finisher medal (s) and soft weave polyester/rayon/cotton blend shirt is as follows:
In Person Events on June 18th:
$30 for the first in-person event (5k Run or 5k Walk or 10k Run)
An additional $10 for the second in-person event (5k Run or 5k Walk and 10k Run combination). Runners/walkers who participate in both the 5k Run or 5k Walk and the 10k run will receive two medals – one for each event. A 5k Run and 5k Walk combination is not available for the live event.
Virtual Events June 18th – July 3rd:
$30 for the first virtual event (5k Run or 5k Walk or 10k Run)
An additional $5 for the second virtual event (5k Run, 5k Walk and/or 10k Run combination) (Includes two medals)
*A group discount of $5 off per individual is available for both the in-person and virtual events.
Registration for both the in-person and virtual Kalamazoo Klassic 5k Run/Walk and/or 10k Run closes Thursday, June 16th at 11:59pm. Shirt size and availability cannot be guaranteed after Sunday, June 5th. After June 5th shirt sizing it is subject to available inventory.
At least 85% of the net proceeds of the Kalamazoo Klassic benefit MRC Industries, Inc. in its mission to encourage and support individuals living with a disability to achieve their fullest potential through employment, skill-building and active community involvement. The remaining proceeds benefit Kalamazoo Area Runners (KAR) in its mission to promote a healthy lifestyle through the sport of running while enhancing the quality of life in the community.
