Groundhog Run Benefiting Ability KC

When: January 24, 2021
Where: Kansas City, MO
Race type(s): 5K

Groundhog Run benefiting the children of Ability KC has raised more than $5.25 million for children with special needs since its inception in 1983. The race is one of very few 5K races, and believed to be the only 100% underground sanctioned 10K race in the nation. This unique event also gives runners the opportunity to participate in both the 5K and 10K for the Tunnel-To-Tunnel experience. With a consistent temperature of 65 to 68 degrees and paved underground streets, the Hunt Midwest SubTropolis is the ideal venue for runners from all over the country to compete in this annual winter event.

Runners, volunteers, sponsors and partners empower children with disabilities receiving services at Ability KC to reach their greatest potential.  Every dollar raised at  Groundhog Run supports life changing therapeutic preschool, ABA and therapy programs at Ability KC.  With your generosity and support, we are honored to join families to ensure every child has the opportunity to experience the freedom and joy of childhood while preparing to reach their greatest successes today and into the future.
