After missing the 2020 edition of the Freedom Run, we are back with a great buzz for the running of the 23rd FREEDOM RUN! The Freedom Run is New Mexico’s fastest 5K (3.1 mile) race, the 2019 run produced 15 runners under 20 minutes. DAVID KIPLAGAT was the First Male winner in 16:07 and JENNA THURMAN the First Female winner in 17:40.

The Freedom Run is supporting Reginald “Reggie” Chavez Elementary School https://rces-aps-nm.schoolloop.com/. Reginald Chavez “Tigers” is a grades K-5 facility with approximately 280 students located directly off Mountain Road in the heart of Old Town and one mile from the Freedom Run race course.
