RACE DETAILS:

Our 5k run is known as ‘the WORLD’S EASIEST 5k’, meaning you have to finish in the middle to win!

  • We present awards in 3 categories:

    • Average Joe & Average Jane – Male and female middle finishers and they will receive an exclusive Average Joe Run Champion Jersey.

    • Overall Winners – Awards are handed out to the top 3 finisher’s for male and female.

    • Age Group Winners – Awards are handed out to the top 2 and Average Joe & Average Jane finishers of their age group.

  • All participants will receive an Average Joe Run 5k Race Packet that includes:

    • Race Bib​

    • Tshirt

    • Custom Finisher Medal

    • Race Certificate

  • We do ask at the beginning of the race that the runners start in the front and the walkers start towards the middle/back of the pack. This ensures participants will be grouped with those who participate at a similar pace and not run into each other.

  • We love dogs but they are not permitted at the AJR 5k events for the safety of our participants.

  • Strollers are permitted at our events.

  • DONUTS, DONUTS, and more DONUTS are available for your enjoyment throughout the event.

  • We will provide a water station at the mid-point of the 5k course.

  • Coffee and water are available during the event.

  • Restrooms will be available at the start/finish line.

Event details and schedule

  • Pre Race Packet Pickup (TBD)

  • Race Day

    • 6:30am – Race Registration and Packet Pickup​

    • 7:00am – Music and entertainment begin

    • 7:40am – Warm up hosted by fitness instructor

    • 7:55am – Announcements and National Anthem

    • 8:00am – Average Joe Run 5k Start
                     **DONUTS AND COFFEE WAITING FOR YOU

    • 9:15am – Award Ceremony
