Favorite Post-Run Treat: Drumstick
When my old dog died, we thought I needed a running buddy, and along came Clancy. I quickly came to learn that having a super fit dog when you get injured is a nightmare, so she has been de-trained, and nowadays does the occasional 5-10km with me, smiling all the way.
Does Clancy know that when you put on your running shoes that it is time to go for a run?
Clancy knows it doesn’t matter what shoes go on there’s a good chance she is going out. So she doesn’t get specifically excited about my running shoes.
When the run is over, does Clancy find the nap spot and get their rest?
Post run there’s a little patch of sun in the back yard where she plonks down for a nap, and if the sun has moved on, she spends the day recovering on the end of our bed. She’s a really lazy border collie.
