7 Marathons On 7 Continents In 7 Days: Becca Pizzi's Journey Run Tri Bike

At Run Tri Bike, we believe every mile tells a story — and Becca Pizzi’s journey is nothing short of epic. In this episode of Beyond The Finish Line with host Joe Hardin, listeners get an intimate look into the life of a woman who redefined endurance. Becca’s list of accomplishments is long and it includes 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 Days. Her accomplishments are inspiring — but it’s her mindset and community spirit that truly shine.

The World Marathon Challenge: A True Test of Grit

Becca’s feat in the World Marathon Challenge — 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days — is legendary. From Antarctica’s bone-chilling cold to the scorching heat of Dubai, she pushed through grueling physical demands and unpredictable conditions. Her training was as intense as the event itself. There were weeks that consisted of running 100-miles as well as gear testing in sub-zero temps in Montreal. It isn’t enough to train physical there has to be relentless mental preparation.

Even a torn groin muscle in Dubai couldn’t stop her. Guided by her mantra, “I didn’t come this far to just come this far,”Becca proved that endurance goes far beyond physical limits. It’s about heart, hustle, and holding onto your why.

From Runner to Race Director

After conquering the challenge twice, Becca took on a new role. She became the race director for the very event that made her a global icon. Now, she manages the logistics of putting on races across seven continents, coordinating everything from course certification and permits to ground teams and transportation.

It’s a full-circle moment — one made even more meaningful by her love for the running community. As the director of the World Marathon Challenge and other extreme events like the Antarctic Ice Marathon, Becca ensures that others can chase their own finish line dreams with support and structure.

Giving Back Through the Becca Pizzi Foundation

Becca’s impact doesn’t stop at the finish line. Her foundation has raised over $100,000 in scholarships for graduating seniors through a beloved community 5K in Belmont. She’s even authored a children’s book, Becca’s Feat on Feet, with proceeds going straight back into the foundation.

Whether she’s directing a race, handing out medals, or coaching her daughter’s high school cross-country team, Becca’s mission remains the same: uplift others, give back, and inspire the next generation of runners.

What Drives Becca Today

Despite all she’s achieved, Becca’s not done yet. She’s chasing a sub-3-hour marathon (her current PR is 3:04), continues to compete in Ironman events and trains year-round while balancing her many roles.

Her advice to endurance athletes? “Keep showing up. You’ll get out of life what you put into it.”

It’s simple, but powerful — and it’s exactly what makes this episode a must-listen for anyone working toward their next race, whether it’s a 5K or a 100-miler.

Inspired to Start Your Journey?

Becca’s story reminds us that endurance isn’t just physical. It’s about mental toughness, emotional resilience, and the drive to do something bigger than yourself. Her journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when passion meets purpose — and how one athlete can spark change far beyond the finish line.
