Rachel Bambrick is a force to be reckoned with in the world of ultra running. Starting her running journey in 2016 to make friends after moving to Philadelphia, she quickly transitioned from road running to trail and ultra running. Rachel’s achievements include a transformative 200-mile run in Haiti and the challenging 2023 Cocodona 250.

Rachel’s Running Journey

Rachel began her running career with half marathons but soon found her true passion in ultra marathons. Her love for challenging herself and experiencing the beauty of nature during races led her to tackle longer distances. Her first ultra experience was the 200-mile run across Haiti in 2019, a journey that solidified her preference for long-distance running. Rachel believes that ultra running allows for personal growth and a deeper connection with oneself.

Women in Ultra Running Organization

Driven by her own experiences, Rachel founded Women in Ultra Running to empower women and make ultra running more accessible. The organization offers in-person events in Philadelphia and an online community that focuses on mental strategy, strength training, and increasing female participation in ultra events. Rachel’s vision includes expanding the organization to other cities and building a supportive community for women in ultra running.
