Join a herd of runners and walkers at Zoo Run Run for a winter 5K adventure! Bundle up, hit the trail, and gallop through the Zoo’s property, including areas not normally available to the public. Zoo Run Run is a rain, snow or shine event.

WHEN: Saturday, February 18 | 2:00 – 5:00 pm
While the event kicks off at 2:00 pm, the race begins at 3:00 pm (Day-of packet pick-up opens at 1:00 pm)

WHY: All proceeds from the Zoo Run Run help fund Zoo operations. Your registration helps fund the Zoo’s state-of-the-art animal care, global conservation efforts and education programs.

• Friends and families are welcome to join us for a brisk stroll instead of a run. Be aware that some of the course is off-road.
• Have little ones? Grab your off-road stroller and join the fun!
• Please note, pets are not allowed on the route or at the finish line.

Registration Options

Choose to run or walk as a timed or untimed participant. Every registrant receives a long-sleeve performance t-shirt, a race bib and post-race refreshments.

Prizes

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place will be awarded a medal in each timed finisher category. 1st place will also receive 4 Zoo tickets ($100 value).

Corral Information

To reduce congestion at the beginning of the race, the 2023 Zoo Run Run will implement start corrals. The race will start in waves allowing timed runners to begin ahead of untimed runners, followed by those who plan to walk or have strollers.

Support Trees for You & Me

Enter our fundraising contest by making a donation or creating a fundraiser to help the Zoo send funds to the tree-planting conservation program, Trees for You & Me.

Trees for You and Me was created through a partnership between the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) and Polar Bears International (PBI) to plant trees in areas of the world that have been devastated by deforestation. Planting trees is one of the few tools we have to minimize the impact of CO2 on the environment and reverse climate change.
