The annual Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race raises funds to support the Children’s Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut. These centers offer one-on-one tutorial sessions to children valued at $5000/child and also offer teacher training programs valued at $10,000/tutor. The main campus is located in Waterbury with satellite offices in Bridgeport and Hartford. All proceeds are distributed to the Children’s Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut.

The 2024 race will be the 20th anniversary of our efforts! In 2023 this race generated just over $30,000 thanks to all the runners, donors, and sponsors and we hope to do better this year thanks to your generosity.

A two loop course that starts and ends in front of the Scottish Rite Building at 207 Deming Street.

Race course is a full gamut of ups and downs with moderate hills on a scenic route with plenty of water stations and volunteers.
