The Uwharrie Dash Moonlight Series is one of the best in the region. You can run a race and watch a movie afterwards! Also, your family and support crew can watch a movie when you are running.

Your entry fee includes entry to the drive-in. If you have family or friends that are not running and watching the movie, they would need a movie ticket.

Age group awards for the 5K – Age Group and Finisher Medals for the 10-miler.

The 12th Annual Vac & Dash Moonlight 5K, 10-Miler, Double Feature 1/2 Marathon & Movie starts and finishes at the Badin Road Drive-In in Albemarle, NC. Movies to be announced. This is a chip timed event.

The Badin Road Drive-In is a great venue to host a race. Indoors restrooms and concession stand.

Moonlight 5K

Starts at 6:30 pm. Registrations will be limited to 125 participants.

Awards – Top Three Male and Female – Top Three Male and Female in the following age groups – 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 +

Participants get a long sleeve soft cotton t-shirt.

The run will be held on Sunday evening, September 3rd. Come on out and get your race in. Enjoy a movie afterwards.

Moonlight 5K Course.

Moonlight 10-Miler

The start time for the 10-miler will be 7:30 pm. Race is capped at 125 participants.

This year the start will be on the street behind the drive-in. The start/finish will be in the same spot.

Results for the 10-miler will be based on gun time. Top Three Overall – Male and Female. Age Groups 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 plus. Finishers get a finishers award.

Participants get a soft long sleeve cotton t-shirt.

The Course is a down and back route. Part of the route is held in Morrow Mountain State Park. Course Map

Also, this is a great event to bring your support crew to, as they can watch a movie while you are running the 10-Miler.

Double Feature 1/2 Marathon

5K Starts at 6:30 pm. Once you finish the 5K, you can rest a bit and prepare for the 10-Miler. The 10-Miler starts at 7:30 pm. Make sure to wear reflective lights and clothing.

All participants will get a Long Sleeved Hooded T-shirt.

Note: You are guaranteed a shirt if you register by 8/31.

Packet Pick-up

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-up will be held on Sunday 9/4 at the Badin Road Drive-In beginning at 5:00 pm.
