The race begins at 8:00 AM in front of the National Czech Slovak Museum and designated parking will be plenty. Participants will each receive a beautiful one of a kind race t-shirt and awards will go to the top finishers. A short awards ceremony will take place immediately after the race. Post race food and drink will be available to help you relax after the race. Packet pick up will be available at the Czech Slovak Museum on Friday, September 10, from 5 – 6:30 PM and on race day from 7 AM till start, also at the Czech Slovak Museum.

The 5k course winds through Czech Village and then runners will make a steep 208 foot climb to the top of Mount Trashmore, a new park addition that provides a beautiful and scenic view of downtown Cedar Rapids. Race proceeds will support Epilepsy Foundation Iowa to support our mission with serving Iowans with programs, services, advocacy and research.
