The Bolt for Bolts 5k - in memory of Deb Noble

When: September 11, 2021
Where: Littlestown, PA
Race type(s): 5K

Hard to believe this is our 9th Bolt for Bolt. This year will be very different as it's usually run in April. It will also be our first year since race founder, Deb Noble, passed away. She had the vision to make this a big race to not only support her beloved Bolts but to bring runners to Littlestown. Packet pickup and awards will be held again at Crouse Park, which is at the intersection of Parkway and North St. The school will not be available so all bathrooms, post-race awards and volunteers will be stationed at Crouse Park. Parking will still be available at both Littlestown High School and Middle School. Parking is limited around the park so please take advantage of the school lots.

The race begins in front of Littlestown Middle and heads through the surrounding neighborhoods. It's a fast course with a nice downhill finish. It's a perfect PR course, the current course records are held by Zoe Matherene with a time of 17:34, and Aiden Neal with a time of 15:37. Both of those blazing fast times were run in 2020. A bonus $50 gift card to Run Moore will be awarded to the overall male/female winner if they break the course records. Medals awarded to all finishers!

The race begins at the intersection of Myrtle & Prince Streets near Littlestown Middle School and continues up Myrtle and makes a smooth left onto Parkway Drive. You follow Parkway until making a right onto FieldCrest Drive followed by a soft right onto Ashfield Drive. From Ashfield Drive you will make a right onto Meadowview drive followed by a left onto Basehoar School road where police and fire officials will escort you to Union Street at which point you will find your water stop. Continuing down Union you will make a right onto Hickory Lane followed by a right onto Parkway drive where you will have a 1 mile straightaway back towards the Finish Line at the Middle School. Awards will be given for the following age groups in both male and female categories. 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & older.
