GIDDY UP! Texasman Triathlon is located at the Johnson Branch State Park offering a Sprint, Olympic and X-50 beach swim start. The bike ride features some “Texas hills.” (If you’re not from Texas, a Texas hill is just that… a hill… which breaks up the flat terrain of the area). The run is mostly tree lined through a state park.
Distances:
Texasman Sprint Distance:
Swim – 500 yard open water
Bike – 16.5 miles
Run – 3.1 miles
Texasman Olympic Distance:
Swim – 1 mile open water
Bike – 24.1 miles
Run – 6.2 miles
Texasman X-50 Distance:
Please note the X-50 course has a cut off time of 1:30pm. If you are unable to meet the cut off, please choose the Sprint or Olympic distance.
Swim – 1 mile open water
Bike – 40 miles
Run – 9 miles
There will be one relay team option for the Sprint, Olympic and X-50 distances. Relay teams consist of 3 participants (either all male, all female or co-ed). Awards are one deep per category for each distance.
There will be Aqua-bike division for the X-50 distance. Awards are one deep for female, male and co-ed for each division.
Race features:
Open to women and men who are at least 13 years of age
Sand beach start to an open-water swim
Typically wet-suit legal (Water temps average 71-74 degrees- you will be advised race morning by the officials if wet-suit legal)
Post race food and awards ceremony
