The Spirit of Sierah, Ce the Light Glow Run, is designed to honor the life and legacy of Sierah Joughin, known to her family and friends as “Ce.” Sierah was a University of Toledo student who was tragically taken from our community in 2016 by a repeat violent offender. This year we are excited to partner with the University of Toledo Family Weekend to provide a family-friendly event where participants can choose to walk or run a one-mile Fun Run or 5K route throughout the campus. We are asking everyone to wear glow items to help light the night for Ce. Costumes are also welcome.

A high-quality JUPMODE t-shirt, a glow item, and a drink ticket will be included with each registration. Participants, along with family and friends, are invited to celebrate post-race with music, food trucks, and the Ladder 419 Beer Firetruck. The first 250 registrations will also receive a FREE ticket to the Rockets football game on Saturday, October 23rd vs. Western Michigan**. Registration must be received by Friday, October 1st, to guarantee a t-shirt. All proceeds from this event will benefit Justice for Sierah.

Justice for Sierah (JFS) is a non-profit organization working to protect communities by implementing the Ohio violent offender registry, known as Sierah’s Law, in all 50 states. JFS also works to empower youth by establishing self-awareness and self-defense into school curriculum and communities through the Sierah Strong program. The Sierah Strong pilot program has currently launched for 6-8th graders in 11 schools.
