Shawnee Marathon and Half Marathon

The 9th annual running of the Shawnee Marathon and Half Marathon is set for Saturday, October 2, 2021.

The race will draw participants from all over the country. Since 2016, we have had participants from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Delaware, Washington, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Mexico, Iowa, Michigan, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Florida, Wisconsin, Idaho, Kansas and even Japan!

Shuttles will be made available at the finish line location near Poplar and Vine Streets in Harrisburg. There is plenty of public parking nearby. Some participants may choose to park at the start line locations, which is perfectly fine. Just know that there are no shuttles that will be returning you to your vehicle.

There is no designated shuttle time. The shuttles will be first come first serve and depart once filled. The shuttles will make multiple trips as necessary.

The last shuttle departs for Garden of the Gods for the Marathon at 7:15 am

The last shuttle departs for Southeastern Illinois College for the Half Marathon at 8:15 am

Registration for the Marathon and Half Marathon will close on September 26th at midnight.

There will be $1,500 in cash prizes awarded in the following manner:

Marathon: First Place Male: $500 / First Place Female: $500

Half Marathon: First Place Male: $250 / First Place Female: $250

There will be an additional $100 provided to anyone who breaks the course record for both the Marathon and Half Marathon
