The Barksdale Spouses’ Club (BSC) will host the fifth annual 5K and 10k “Shamrock Shuffle” race to raise funds for the BSC scholarship program, and local/national charities – all with a larger focus on local service members and their families. We are excited to once again bring this event to the Shreveport/Bossier area. The race begins at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

This will be part of the Sweet & Lucky series in conjunction with the King Cake Classic Run. Participants of both races will receive a commemorative pint glass or race series prize.

The Barksdale Spouses' Club prides ourselves on giving back to our community by being a philanthropic and social organization that supports airmen, military spouses, and dependents. This organization is run by military spouses of all ranks and military affiliations; USAF, Army, Navy, etc. as well as DOD civilians. Last year, with great community support, the BSC contributed $20,000 to charities and military scholarships. Those charities included: Airforce Military Ball, Air Force Aid Society, Operation Bright Holiday, Shreveport-Bossier City Rescue Mission, Barksdale AFB Cinderella's Closet, Air Force Village.

Sweet + Lucky Spring Race Series: King Cake Classic February 6, 2021, Shamrock Shuffle March 6, 2021. Participants who register for both races will receive a race series prize at the Shamrock Shuffle. Runners who elect to run the 5K or 10k in each of the races will be eligible for a race series award.

Safety for the in-person race is our number one concern. Please stay home the day of the race if you are running a fever, have a headache, or are sick in anyway. We ask that you do your best to physically distance yourselves from everyone around you who is not in your household. Please wash your hands regularly and limit handling public items if applicable. We want this to be a safe and fun environment for everyone and for everyone to leave healthy and happy.
