We're moving off the beach and heading west to be able to hold an In Person Event. We’re heading to South County Regional Park at the end of Glades Rd in west Boca. The new date is January 24th 2021
This year there will only be a 5k and a 1 mile run/walk, and of course Little People Races at the end!
We will be using wave starts, register for the wave time you would like to start in, then show up no more than 15 minutes before your start time and remain in the car till 10 minutes before your start time.
You'll then make your way to the road and into the large open field where the staging line forms. ( See the maps page on the web site runBoca ) 2 Runners will start every 8 seconds ( Families of more than 2 can start together ) The finish line will be modified to allow you to cross the finish line ( Similar to many large marathon finish line areas ) but you'll keep moving towards the medal table, water table and food bag table. This will create a flow of people moving back towards your car and away from the finish line area. You'll pass our vendors on the way out as well..
There will not be an awards presentation ( subject to change as we get closer to race day when we see what the rules are then )
At this time masks will be required anytime you’re out of your car, before you run, and right after you cross the finish line. Masks are not required while running. There will be a packet/bib pick-up details coming soon. You will also be able to pick up your packet race morning!
Medals to all finishers in the 3 races. Shirts to the 1st 800 people to register
We will also be doing our Little People Races for kids from age 2 on up, the distance will be determined race morning but will be appropriate for each age group. This is a free event for the kids, with medals to all finishers.
Shirts guaranteed till Dec 31st, after that we'll try to guess your size, but we're not very good at guessing, so register before 12/1 if you want a shirt in your size, after that, no guarantees, no whining and possibly no shirt! Shirts to the 1st 800 people to register
Runners may only be scored for awards under gender designated on government issued ID. Participants that elect to not disclose their gender or choose “Other” as their gender will not be included in scoring for awards. That an athlete may win only one award and may, after the race, choose the award for overall competition or for the competition in the athlete's age group, but not both. If specified, competitors in the category not selected by the athlete eligible for
more than one award shall be advanced in position so that all possible awards in each category are awarded, if there are sufficient numbers of competitors.
