Run For The Blue Dallas

When: July 8, 2023
Where: Dallas, TX
Race type(s): 5K, 1mi

On July 7, 2016, five police officers were killed and eight police officers were injured in the line of duty in an ambush on the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police, and El Centro College Police. Run For The Blue was founded in response to this attack to support fallen and injured officers and their families.

In observance of the anniversary of the ambush, Run For The Blue Dallas will be held on July 8, 2023. In addition to a 5K and 1 Mile run / walk, ceremonies honoring fallen and injured officers will be held.

Walkers and runners are welcome. The course will remain open for one hour.

Race entry is free. You will have the opportunity to make a donation during registration. Proceeds will go to the families of slain and injured police officers.

You will also have the option to add chip timing for a fee and to purchase additional merchandise.

Proceeds benefit the Blue Guardian Foundation, a Dallas based 501(c)(3) non-profit which provides law enforcement officers across the country with financial assistance for personal work related illnesses, families who are faced with loss of life, loss of income due to serious injury, life-threatening illness or any other catastrophic event.
