We are bringing back the 2nd Annual Reach Out and Run 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Medway Community Church!!! Last year we ran this race virtually and had great participation. This years event will be live, in-person, and for the whole family. Our 5K course is USATF certified and sure to make for an exciting race! We will have the opportunity to get outside, bring the community together, and help out some local organizations that help others. Wouldn’t it be great to have some fun with friends old and new?!?

This year’s event will occur on Saturday, August 28th.

• 50% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medway House Family Shelter, a program of SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council). The Medway House is an emergency shelter for 12 homeless families at a time. In addition to providing shelter for families, the staff assists families in acquiring permanent affordable housing, as well as, counseling, education, vocational, and social services and referrals.
• 50% of the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Franklin Food Pantry, which has been supporting families during the pandemic.

All participants who register by August 12th will be guaranteed a Reach Out and Run 5K shirt that you can pickup with your race bib on race day. The registration fee for adults is $25. Children 12 and under are $10. 100% of your registration will go toward Medway House and Franklin Food Pantry.

So……running a race is not quite my thing. What else do you have going on? This event is truly for the entire family and community! Non-runners and families are invited to:

• Cheer on our racers at the start and finish line
• Enjoy live music from local band Groovy Situation before, during, & after the race
• Participate in fun activities, crafts, and games
• Enjoy food from local food truck Bowl Boyz
