People & Paws for a Worthy Cause 5k

When: September 25, 2021
Where: Newtown, PA
Race type(s): 5K

Four Years, Fresh Ideas!

2019 marks FOUR years of People & Paws 5k, and this year, we’re making some changes! We’re bringing you a bigger, better race on a new course, and we’re combining it with Newtown Vet Hospital’s 17th Annual Pet Fair to make it a fun day for the whole family!
  • Our new 5k course will take runners from Newtown Vet Hospital, across Newtown-Yardley Road, out to Silver Lake Park, and back again. It’s a flat, runner-friendly course built for fast finishes and new PRs!
  • For those who aren’t runners but still want to get involved, join our outdoor yoga class and get your limbs moving with a gentler workout – all levels of yogis welcome.
  • Our race is dog-friendly! Dogs should be leashed on non-retractable leashes, under control at all times, and be friendly with other dogs as well as people.
  • As the race ends, Newtown Vet’s Pet Fair begins! Hang around for family fun, games, vendors, a DJ, pet parade, demos from participating sponsors, and the chance to win a lot of really great prizes. Our 17th annual Pet Fair runs from 10am-2pm.
As always, proceeds from People & Paws will benefit RSDSA, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families suffering from the pain of RSD/CRPS, as well as funding awareness and research for a cure. Visit www.rsds.org for more info.
Awards: First male/female overall finishers, first male/female age group finishers, first canine finisher.

Amenities: *NEW THIS YEAR* – post race beers! Hosted by Newtown Brewing Co. All runners 21+ will receive one drink ticket. Refreshments will be provided. T-shirts and goodie-bags for all pre-registrants and as supplies last.

Race Results: Race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co.; Results can be found at http://www.brynmawrracing.com.
