The course is mostly flat with the exception of a large hills mixed in, which means it’s wonderfully suited to attract beginners to the sport while still being long enough to challenge even the most seasoned swimrunners. The terrain consists of pavement, gravel, dirt, and single track trail running. The entire swim is in the crystal clear gorgeous blue freshwaters of Lake Huron. The depth of the swim is between 6-30’ with most of the swim averaging about 8-12’ deep with visible bottom in many places. Athletes will enjoy entering and exiting the swim via beaches, docks, boat ramps, all beautiful natural shorelines.
