For over two decades Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital (the former Milford Hospital) has hosted a Mother's Day Run & Walk to promote wellness & health. All abilities are invited to join us as the tradition returns in 2022!

Our 5K chip timed Run (or walk) and 3k Fitness Walk begins & ends at Milford Campus. You can RUN or WALK the entire 5K if you want & be timed- or walk 3K (1.8mi) and not be timed.

The 5K & 3K courses are flat and have very scenic views as you travel past Long Island Sound.

We have a FREE, 1/10 mi Kids Fun Run prior to the start of the 5K. All kids 5th grade & under can enter this non-competitive (no awards) fun run.

We encourage all levels of participants for all of our events. Join us for a great start to Mother's Day!

All proceeds from the event will benefit the 3 East renovation project at Milford Campus. The former Milford Hospital maternity wing will become a state of the art, post-surgical care unit with an emphasis on orthopedics. It will feature 12 patient rooms, a family lounge, a quiet room, a multipurpose room for physical therapy and a conference room for staff education. The rooms are designed to be “age-friendly” to meet the needs of our older patients, with simple, readable signage, high-quality lighting, non-slip floor surfaces, stable furniture and bed heights appropriate for seniors. We are excited to share this major facility upgrade with the Milford community!

Our 5k course is accurately measured, well marked with mile splits & has a water table. Police & volunteers on the course will keep you safe, and the scenery along the water is picturesque.

Enjoy some great snacks when you are done. Then take a short walk over to the Milford Green and check out the art festival and enjoy a Mom’s Day lunch at one of the many great restaurants in town!

We offer very generous younger and older age group awards for the 5K (including 90+) and prizes for mom/daughter & mom/son teams.

Awards to overall Male and Female champions in the 5K as well as three deep in age groups 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, and ten year age groups up thru 70+ (and even higher if they participate!) There are no awards for the health walk.

All 5K & 3K participants will receive a shirt and plenty of food & fluids. Shirt size and availability can only be guaranteed to pre-registered attendees by April 22nd. After that we need to place the order and may not have sizes on hand or could even run out on the day of the event. Please don’t miss your chance.
