The 6th Annual Melissa's Race to Battle Brain Cancer is SO much more than another 5K.
This event is a FUNDRAISER benefiting ADVENT HEALTH CANCER INSTITUTE for brain cancer research. This event is in memory of Melissa Vosburg, a resident of Sanford and teacher at Midway Elementary School, who was lost to brain cancer in 2013. Hosted by Melissa Vosburg, Inc.
Melissa’s Race is known as the race with a heart. Thank you from the bottom of OUR hearts for helping make this year’s race the biggest and best ever!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR LIVE EVENT:
As of December 15, 2020, we have a permit approval to have a LIVE, IN PERSON race through downtown Sanford. All participants will be asked to wear a face covering while not on the course and all participants are required to electronically sign the waiver at time of registration accepting any and all risks if exposed to COVID-19. We will also have separate start and finish lines with waves every 5 minutes each limited to 50 participants. Therefore, onsite Registration has a capacity of 650. If for any reason the LIVE event is canceled, all registered participants will be automatically switch to VIRTUAL with no refunds (sorry).
We are also offering a VIRTUAL option for those who cannot or choose not to attend IN PERSON.
