Marauder Trotter Update:

The Dunkirk High School Class of 1989 is hosting the 7th annual Marauder Trotter 5K Run/Walk as a VIRTUAL EVENT this year. Participants will be able run or walk a 5k between the 2 dates of July 4 (12 midnight) to July 5 (11:59 p.m.), 2020.

There are three ways to participate in the fundraising event:
(1) Register for race at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Dunkirk/MarauderTrotter5KRunWalk and then download the Runsignup.com RaceJoy app and complete the normal Marauder Trotter lakefront route in Dunkirk.
(2) If you cannot run with a cell phone or not interested in RaceJoy App, register for race at link above, run/walk the race with your timing device, and then email your first and last name, bib number and finishing time to david@trackqua.com after completing race that day.
(3) If you are not in town July 4-5 and cannot run the Marauder Trotter race route, you can complete your personal run/walk with your own 5k race anywhere and then email your first and last name, bib number and finishing time to david@trackqua.com after completing race that day.

Our timing company, Trackqua with owner/running guru David Reinhardt will offer Virtual Race Management through Runsignup.com’s RaceJoy application. RaceJoy is a phone app (iPhone & Android) designed to maximize the experience for both participant and their supporters. For Virtual Races, the runners will be assigned a number and time period (24-48 hours) to run the RJ certified course.

All participants will receive a virtual bib number too. At the starting line runners will simply open Race Joy App find their race. When ready to run, participants will press start button. GPS technology will give runners directions, mile splits, projected finish time and encouragement. Supports can track runners progress and send messages. At finish runners will receive their time and place on live leader board. Runners are also able to submit time via text message or through their RunSignUp profile.
