This event is a new twist on an old race! Formerly a 15k (staged as Race #1 in BQuickRunning’s South Hills Annual Trail Series or “SHATS”), runners now can choose 20k or 10k.

Both distances are out-and-back courses starting at the Little Blackfoot Meadows trailhead, near Kading Campground. The 10k will turn around at the 2nd wooden bridge that crosses the creek. 20k runners will continue past that bridge, then will turn onto the Bison Mtn trail for approximately 1.5 miles before reaching the 20k turnaround point. The Bison Mtn trail portion of the course is generally flat and lush along the beautiful Blackfoot Meadow.
