LOCATION
Join us at Kickapoo State Recreation Area, west of Danville, Illinois. Take I-74 to Exit 206 or 210 and follow the signs to the park

COURSE SELECTION
7.45 Trail Run – Wilderness Trail
$45 With Shirt $40 No Shirt

5k Trail Run – Clear Pond
$35 With Shirt $30 No Shirt

Challenge – Both Trails
$65 with Shirt $60 No Shirt

Course

The 7.45 mile course, which is 95% trail, heads east out of the park before turning into the woods, where the adventure really begins. You will climb and descend steep hills, cross creeks and bridges, and if you are lucky, see deer and other wildlife. This is a scenic and challenging run.

The 5K run is a rustic trail that wraps around clear pond and takes you down spooky hollow and up the steps to 7. Follow the signs for the Clear (Pond) Trail.

Challenge yourself and do both trails. Times for each race are below

REGULATIONS
No bandits, radios, strollers, or dogs are allowed. No shirts or awards will be mailed. No refunds. You must be present to win drawing prizes during post-race party.

POST-RACE PARTY
The awards presentation and postrace party are held at the registration area. Stick around and enjoy the usual KRR good time with food and drinks. Burger and Dogs on the grill will be provided but feel free to bring your own sack lunch if you prefer…. Beverages will also be provided for workers and runner.

PARKING
Please arrive early for parking and only park in designated parking spots. Do not park in grass or alongside the roads. Carpool when possible. Parking Violations will not be reimbursed by the club.

CAMPING
Kickapoo has two major campgrounds for tent and trailer camping, with 184 sites. About half the sites have electrical hookups. Two shower buildings and a sanitary dump station are available. A limited number of walk-in sites are available for primitive campers, but several campsites can be reserved by writing the site or by applying in person.
