The first annual Johnnie Pike Memorial 5K will be held at Morenci High School on 7/31/21, proceeds to benefit the Morenci Cross Country program. Johnnie Pike is a 2007 Morenci graduate who tragically passed away in 2008 when his house caught fire. Johnnie's girlfriend Chelsey Sedlacek, a sophomore at Morenci High School also passed away in the fire. Johnnie loved running and was a member of both cross country and track teams during his time at Morenci.

This event will hold a 5K and 1 mile walk. Each participate will receive a t-shirt. Top 3 in each gender/age division will receive a medal. The over all male and female winners will also receive a reward.
