The 4th Annual Jason Albarelli Memorial 3 mile Fundraiser is back as a live event!

We look forward to seeing you a little later than in the past and with a new, slightly shorter course.

Jason was funny, handsome, outgoing, compassionate, and he had an infectious smile. He would make you feel like you mattered. He appeared confident but underneath he struggled to mask his insecurities that came from his addiction. He tried tirelessly to get help and support for his addiction by seeking new treatments, and always found strength and energy to carry him through for a short while. These treatment options were hard to find and not easily accessible for those who are seeking help.

Our annual event was founded to remember Jason and bring awareness to the devastation that addiction causes families. Our goal is to support Shatterproof’s mission of reversing the addiction crisis in the U.S. Shatterproof is a non-profit organization that uses evidence based research to advocate for policy changes at both the state and federal level. The race allows us to create a legacy for Jason and others who we have lost to addiction, while supporting change for the future. Please encourage your friends and family to join us for what promises to be a meaningful way to remember Jason and bring together old and new friends.

Our live events this year will feature a computer chip-timed 3-mile course and an untimed one-mile walk option. As of our launch date, we will follow all CT guidelines for outdoor events which could change by the day of the event. Updates will be posted on this site and sent to all pre-registered entrants.

EVENT FEES – all ages for both the 3-mile timed & 1-mile walk-only untimed event

REGISTRATIONS ARE ONLINE ONLY

$25 EARLY REG from July 1- July 31

$30 Regular reg from Aug 1- Aug 26

$35 Late reg on event day Aug 27 Registration at the event is online only until 15 minutes before the start.
NO paper entry-NO CASH will be accepted.

Our Kids run is Free

3 mile event awards, prizes, gift cards given to:

1st male & 1st female overall and top two m&f finishers in age groups 9 & under, 10-12, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

The NEW course is 3 miles– an accurately measured route that is truly scenic, flat and wonderful for all abilities to run or walk. This distance is TIMED with computer chips attached to the registration bib worn on front.

COVID – event details (subject to updates and changes)

As of June 1st the CT guidelines allow for a mass start without masks if you are vaccinated. However, we encourage anyone that feels safer with a mask to use one prior to the start and after you finish.

MASKS are required if you are not vaccinated in accordance with CT CDC state guidelines.

We may decide to use a 'staggered start' which involves smaller groups starting at safe intervals if conditions change or guidelines are modified by the state.
