Please join us for the 15th and FINAL edition of the Jack Roth Rock’N'Run/Walk
June 13th, 2021 @ 9:00 AM, Bexley, OH
Welcome to the 15th and final edition of the Jack Roth 5K Rock'N'Run/Walk! We have had 14 years of incredible 5k’s, marketplaces, track dashes, music and more and while we are sad to say goodbye, we are very grateful for so many years of unwavering support. We are pleased to announce that this year we have two incredible honorary co-chair’s. David Brown, Founder & Creative Director of the Harmony Project and Dr. David Cohn, chief medical officer at The James Cancer Hospital as well as the director of Gynecologic Cancer Research and the associate director of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program at Ohio State.
We are heartbroken over the loss of our beloved Janice Roth, Jack’s wife and champion who she passed away in October of 2019. She fearlessly fought an 8-year ovarian cancer battle. She was an integral part of our committee, fundraising, and outreach for the run. She implemented Taco Tuesday at The Kitchen, took charge of the raffle prizes and personally contacted many of the donors, supporters, volunteers, and runners to make sure they were aware of the race, race day and how to get involved. The Jack Roth Fund will continue to fundraise and Jan’s legacy will continue to live on with a Janice Roth Education Fund through the Columbus Jewish Foundation. June 14th will certainly be a difficult day for us as we say goodbye to a very special community event, but we plan on celebrating Jan and all she did and meant to this event. Please join us as we celebrate the lives of Jack & Janice and the final year of The Jack Roth Run, Sunday, June 14th.
2019 was another fantastic record year in fundraising, bringing in over $112,000 for the Jack Roth Fund, bringing our 14 year total to more than $1,460,000. The Jack Roth Fund was created to promote the vital research and treatment necessary to combat lung cancer, through The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC –James) and the Jack Roth Camp Netaim-Ramah Noam, a program in Israel for children with special needs. The race will take runners and walkers through central Bexley's beautiful neighborhoods, and include a fun-filled morning with:
- Food, music, awards and prizes!
- The Dave Gill Chevrolet complimentary food, fun and fitness marketplace featuring local food, health, and wellness vendors.
- Kids activities: face painting, balloon making, glitter tattoos, braid bar & more!
- Max's Track Dash for Kids returns for 2020!
