Be a hero for the kids! Join us for our third annual Heroes for Hope 5K and Kids' 1K Fun Run benefitting New Hope Children's Advocacy Center. At New Hope, our mission is to restore hope to abused or traumatized children and their families in Blount County. Join us at the Maryville Amphitheater on April 30 or run from anywhere April 23 through April 30 as we get moving to raise awareness for child abuse prevention.

This is a LIVE race on April 30, 2022 with virtual options from April 23 – April 30.

Registration will close at Friday, April 29 at 5:00pm. No day-of registrations.
VIRTUAL OPTIONS:
The virtual race will be staged from 12:01am on Saturday, April 23 until 11:59pm on Saturday, April 30. The virtual options may be run anywhere during this timeframe.
TRADITIONAL 5K:
The in-person 1K Kids’ Fun run will be staged at 8:00am, and the in-person 5K will be staged at 8:30am on Saturday, April 30, beginning and ending at the Maryville Amphitheater.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet pick-up will be available on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 before race day. Times and locations to be announced.
If you register before Thursday, April 28, your bib will be available at packet pick-up. If you register on Thursday, April 28 or on Friday, April 29, your bib will be available at check-in between 7:15-8:15am at the pavilion. Each 5K bib will be chipped to track your time – please do not fold bibs.
T-SHIRTS:
Both in-person and virtual runners will receive a t-shirt as selected in online registration. Shirts will be available during packet pick-up. (Details coming soon.)
RACE DAY PARKING:
Public parking for the 5K is located:
- Between Broadway & Church Street
- Across from Dandelions
- Parking garage between Harper & Broadway
RACE DAY CHECK-IN:
Check-in will take place from 7:15am – 8:15am at the pavilion across from the amphitheater.

RESULTS:
Because the course is very narrow in parts, we will have a staggered start time. Each start time will be announced by air horn. Runners will be scored on chip time. Results will be made available after the race on the "Results" page.

SUBMIT YOUR TIME:
The virtual race can be run at any time from 12:01am on April 23 to 11:59pm on April 30. During this timeframe, participants can run the 3.1 miles from anywhere and have the option to submit their time via the RunSignup race page under "Results."

GENERAL INFORMATION:
All children must be accompanied by a legal guardian or care-giver at all times during the event. Children may not be left unattended during or after the Kids’ 1K Fun Run.
