We are thrilled to invite you to this year's in-person RUN WILD! This year is all about pollinators! Bats, bees, butterflies, and other small mammals who pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce natural resources by helping plants reproduce.

Help us raise awareness about the importance of pollinators. Everyone who runs or walks will receive a Run Wild t-shirt. This year, instead of medals all adult participants will be able to choose between BEE, BUTTERFLY, or BAT socks! Kids who sign up for the Wild Child fun run will get a finisher medal instead of socks.

You can sign up for Run Wild as a 5k or 10k distance. Join us at the zoo on Sunday, September 26 for our first in-person event since the pandemic started.

10k race will start at 7am. The 5k race will start at 7:30am. The kid's 1-mile fun run begins at 10:30am.

All dollars raised at this year's race will directly support Henry Vilas Zoo and our wildlife conservation partner, AZA SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction, which focuses the collective expertise within AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and leverages their massive audiences to save species. The SAFE Monarch Network coordinates activities to reduce threats to monarchs while creating more pollinator habitat in urban, suburban, and rural regions.
