The January event has been one of Northern Michigan’s staple running events since the late 1980’s. Held primarily in the Huron Hills area of Traverse City, the event is an annual favorite of the area’s year-round running community. Members of the Traverse City Track Club can participate in the event FREE of charge.

For the 2021 edition the Traverse City Track Club announces the Frozen Foot Race will be offered as a virtual event in light of CoVid-19 health guidelines and permitting precautions, the event is open for registration and is FREE to all those who register online by January 20th, 2020.

“Going virtual keeps our supporters safely engaged and enables us to remain committed to our mission “to encourage health, fitness, community service, and family recreation, and competition through running/walking events and programs,” said Lisa Taylor, executive director of Traverse City Track Club.

With a virtual run/walk, participants register, run or walk the prescribed distance at the location/course of their choice between January 23rd and 30th.
