COURSE DESCRIPTION
All courses are USATF Certified.  All events begin and end on the high school track.  Events utilize out-and-back courses on the gently rolling roads of Steilacoom and Lakewood.  Each mile will be clearly marked, and a volunteer will assist you at the turnaround point on the course. We will also offer water and Gatorade approximately every 2-3 miles throughout the course.  All events feature a downhill finish onto the high school track.   Course maps, with elevation profile and water station locations are available at our website.   We will have police escort for the first 1/2 mile of the course, the remainder of the course is open to traffic during the event.  Dogs are not permitted on our course, or at our start/finish facilities.

RESULTS
All events are chip-timed by Peak Performance Timing, and results will be available to finishers at our results kiosk and published to our RunSignup Results page.

AWARDS
Age group ribbons will be awarded to top 3 in each age group.  These will be available at our results kiosk.  At the courtesy of some of our sponsors, overall awards will be provided to men’s and women’s winners in each event.
Additionally, each participant who completes 3 or more of our events will receive a custom finishers medal.  Medals will be handed out at the conclusion of the March 19 event.

SERIES PARTICIPATION
Participants may enter either the mile series (5mi-10mi-15mi-20mi) or kilometer series (5k-10K-15K-20K), or 5K series (5k-5K-5K-5K).   New this year, participants can also receive a "bulk" discount when registering for 3 or more individual events.   This is great for those that may want to pick and choose events across our 3 series offerings.
Age group scoring will be kept for each series and will be posted on the RunSignup website.  Scores will be based on a points-based system earned from your 3 best finishes.

FACILITIES
We are privileged to have access to a heated building for your use before and after your events (subject to local COVID protocols, of course).   We typically offer an assortment of refreshments and drinks to all of our finishers as well.

ADVERSE WEATHER
This is a winter race series, and we are frequently confronted with cold, rain, wind and snow.  In the rare event that inclement weather forces a cancellation or postponement of the event, participants will receive an email by 7AM.  We will also make every effort to update our website and other social media resources.
