Description

Swim, bike, run and lots of fun in this noncompetitive triathlon. Great way for kids to be active and have fun, while helping the INSPIRE (formerly Special Needs) Program! Distances and times vary by age group:
9:00 AM – Ages 5 – 6 (25 Yards Swim / .5 Mile Bike / 400 Meter Run)
9:20 AM – Ages 7 – 8 (50 Yards Swim / 1 Mile Bike / .5 Mile Run
9:40 AM – Ages 9 – 10 (100 Yards Swim / 2 Mile Bike / 1 Mile Run)
Participants are encouraged to arrive at least half an hour before their start time. The kids will swim in Buchanan Pool, depending on age run around ponds or on the Pioneer Trail toward Elk Meadow. Then finish the race by riding their bikes around ponds (5-6 years old) or out and back on the Buchanan Trail.
