Emporia Freedom Fest is a series of outdoor events bringing together people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors, exercise, and honor all Veterans and their families and support the beautiful All Veterans Memorial and Park.

2021 Updates

We are back! All events are back and better than ever before. We are very excited to welcome back the Warrior Spur Challenge (formerly Spur Ride) as well as our EANGKS 12 Miler Ruck March! Individuals can select either a virtual or a traditional in-person option for the LCSB 5K and the SGT Timmerman / GEN Eisenhower Freedom Rides. The EANGKS 10-mile Ruck march is back and both rounds of the Dynamic Discs Freedom Fest Open will be played at Soden’s Grove that day. Warrior Spur Challenge is on-site and day of only.

Due to the great feedback and support we will again ensure everyone who registers (on-site and virtual) will be entered into a drawing to win prizes – including gift certificates sponsored by Lyon County State Bank and hand-crafted trophies created by the Welding Department at Flint Hills Technical College. Drawings will take place the 6th of November using FACEBOOK live through our Emporia Freedom Fest Event Page.

ON-SITE Events:

There will be limited day of registration this year. Please register online or contact the Emporia Main Street office (620) 340-6430.
-The 5K/1mile event will begin at 8 am.
-The Warrior Spur Challenge will begin at 8 am.
-The 16/40 mile rides will begin at 9 am.
– The EANGKS 12 Mile Run/Ruck March Challenge will begin at 9:30 am
-Participants will be able to pick up their packets at Emporia Main Street on November 3rd-5th between noon and 5pm.

Virtual Events:

-Participants can register starting 1 July and complete between September 11th and November 11th
-If you are not in the local area, we can mail your packet to you.
-Please make sure to send in your times and participation photos to mainstreet2@emporia-kansas.gov

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

Early-bird Registration is 7/1/21 to 10/1/21 (save on the cost of your event and make the T-Shirt Deadline!)

Late Registration (no T-shirts available after this date): 10/2/21-11/5/21

Day of Registration – Not an option! We start at 8am!
