**BIB PICK UP***

– Thursday 9/8 11am-2pm at 4120 Laurel St. Suite 106, Anchorage AK 99508

– Saturday Pre-Race 8:30am-9:30am Waldron/Bancroft Pond off Shelikof Street

We would love runners to bring diapers and/or wipes to donate to the pantry. Participants will receive a raffle ticket per package of diapers and/or wipes. No limits on how much you can donate. Most needed sizes of diapers are size 3 and higher and all size pull-ups. Raffle grand prize is TBD of a $100 value or more!!!!!

**RACE DAY***

Start time is 10am sharp! We are asking runners to be ready to go by 9:40am as there will be special speakers and pre-race announcements. Race location is Waldron/Bancroft Pond off Shelikof Street (think Tudor bingo). There will be limited parking next to the pond, but plenty of parking at tudor bingo. Facing Tudor bingo, the race will be to your left with a short walk to the start.

This is a common start/finish 5k so just a quick note to remind runners to stay on your side of the path as runners will be running both ways. There will be one aid station on course, slightly before the turn around, so if any more hydration is needed for yourself, please make sure to have it on you.

AFTER the race, bring your bib to BREAD AND BREW for FREE Truffle Fries! They are the best in town, and remember, you just ran a 5k, so please treat yourself.

**PRIZES***

All winners (not all runners) will receive a commemorative medal as well as the following:

1. First individual across the finish line – Two Adult Tickets on the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Talkeetna in the winter season

2. Second individual across the finish line – $100 Gift Card to Moose's Tooth

3. Third individual across the finish line – $50 Gift Card to Matanuska Brewing Company

4. 1st Minor (17 years or younger) across the finish line – Candy Basket and a Medal

5. Team Award-Medal per team member and $10 Kaladies Gift Card per team member (teams, please watch out for a second email going over team scoring)

Alaska Adoption Services is hosting our first annual Diaper Dash. Join us as we raise awareness and funds for the Community Diaper Pantry, a program of Alaska Adoption Services providing free diapers and wipes to families in need! We invite you to participate as an individual or on a team and fundraise to stock the diaper pantry! This is a family friendly event and fun for people of all ages! Grab your family, neighbors and colleagues and sign up today!

A year ago, Alaska Adoption Services (AAS) opened the Community Diaper Pantry. To date, AAS has provided over 45,000 diapers to families in need in Anchorage. Diaper need is a lack of an adequate supply of diapers to keep an infant clean, healthy and dry. Diapers cannot be purchased with any form of government assistance, and 1 in 3 U.S. families struggle to afford them. If they cannot, then they are unable to send their child to daycare and unable to go to work or school. Diapers range from $80-$100 per month per child. We believe every Alaskan baby deserves to have a clean diaper and we are here to help.

We will begin the run at the Waldron/Bancroft Pond off Shelikof Street. The race will be timed in partnership with Skinny Raven. Parking will be available at the park, on the street, with overflow parking available at Tudor Bingo.

A Virtual Diaper Dash 5K will also take place for individuals out of town or unavailable to participate in the in-person race.

All registered participants are welcome to take their race bib to Bread and Brew on the day of the race for free Truffle Fries. Only valid on the day of the race!
