The 8th annual Dancing Bear Bicycle Bash returns on September 17th 2022 at 8:30 Am (new start time) in beautiful Townsend TN at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains! All riders from the area and from the country are warmly invited to visit the Peaceful Side of the Smokies. Limited overnight accommodations are available where the ride begins and ends at DancingBearLodge.com.

This is not a bicycle race, just a chance to enjoy a nice recreational ride through the foothills of the Smokies in late summer/ early fall. We are fully sanctioned by USA Cycling. Many people tell us the scenic rides plus our famous post ride gourmet lunch make the Bike Bash— the “must do” 2 wheel event in Blount County, TN.

The Dancing Bear Bike Bash features 3 updated recreational rides to choose from with distances of 25, 40, and 52 Miles with appopriate rest/energy stops! Our post-ride outdoor gourmet lunch by Executive Chef Jeff Carter adds a totally unique aspect to this event and will be served from 10:30 Am to 1:30 Pm ! We’ve got a cool swag bag in store for each registered rider which will include a Tee Shirt, and other goodies like fresh roasted coffee from our on site coffee house, Dancing Bean!
