Crossroads Half Marathon

Please join us for the 2nd annual Crossroads Half Marathon race on a fast and relatively flat course. This is an informal no-frill event.

Cost: Free*
There is no cost to participate in this event. However, you will be required to sign a waiver AND follow COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the Federal and State government. You must use face covering before and after the race and maintain 6+ ft physical distance from others.

*You are encouraged to bring a snack item and/or a bottle of sports drink of your choice to share with a fellow runner or two.

Course Description:
The course runs on the Middlesex Greenway, a picturesque open space resource within the communities of Metuchen, Edison, and Woodbridge. Situated on a historic portion of Lehigh Valley rail corridor. It is a 3.6 mile long and 10-foot wide, paved asphalt tree-lined trail. The course will be marked. We will also have a copy of the course map posted in the Start area.

Timing:
Although we will have a volunteer at the finish line, timing will be based on the honor system. There will be a clipboard at the finish line. Runners will be asked to record their own time. Results will be published online upon the conclusion of the event.

Race Cutoff time:
You must complete the 13.1 miles in 3 hours, or approximately 13:40 minutes per mile.

Course Support:
Water will be available at the Start/Finish area and around miles 2.9 and 4.3. Gatorade and Bananas will be available in the Start / Finish area.

Awards: Overall Male and Overall Female.

Free parking and Portable Toilets available on-site.

Misc. Info:
The Middlesex Greenway is free of vehicular traffic and the use of headphones is permitted. However, there are several crossing points open to vehicular traffic, including the Middlesex CR-514. Always be aware of your surroundings.
