Join us for the 8th annual Cancer Care Run & Walk scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2019, 9 a.m. at Martens Park, 261 Cedar Hill Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. This 5K Run, 2-mile walk & family fun run will start & end at Marten’s Park in Lancaster. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Last year we raised over $14,000 and our goal is to break that in 2019. All event proceeds fund local patients battling cancer. This fund was started by TWIG One in September 2007. It has inspired the community to give to local cancer patients through the FMC Foundation. Local cancer patients benefit by receiving nutritional supplements, life-saving screenings and diagnostic testing such as mammograms and colonoscopies for patients who could not afford them. Access to treatment and support close to home is crucial for members of our community, and the Cancer Care Fund is one way to make this possible. Another way to support the Cancer Care Run is by purchasing a Memorial Sign to be displayed on the race path the day of the race in honor of a loved one. Memorial signs can be purchased online for $25 each. Race participant cost is $25 until Sept. 21 and $30 Sept. 22 thru race day. Pre-register by Sept. 21 to guarantee your limited edition long sleeve t-shirt.
