The 2021 Bel Monte is planned for March 13, 2021. We have secured the necessary permits and plan to move forward with the event. Please read safety measures as they will be strictly implemented.
If you are sick, stay home.
Everyone, with no exceptions, will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be enforced at the start/finish at all times. Runners are permitted to take their masks off (buffs are acceptable) when 10 feet away from other runners, race staff or crew. When approaching aid stations, runners MUST wear their masks.
The aid stations will be cup-less. Plan on bringing your own bottle, even if you are running the 25K. All aid stations will still have water, electrolytes and soda, but no cups.
Race staff will NOT transport any runner back to the finish (medical emergencies excepted). Runners dropping out MUST arrange for their own transportation.
The aid stations will ONLY have very limited packaged single-serve sweet and salty items, no loose or open items. This will include bars, candies, bananas, chips, other salty snacks, other creative options like Twinkies. No sandwiches, no soup.
We strongly encourage you to bring more of your own food in your drop bags. As a reminder, drop bags will not return to the finish until the aid station closes, but you can drive to all aid stations to retrieve them at any time.
Crew are required to socially distance and not mingle at all times.
Finish line food will be sold by Blue Ridge Pizza, so bring your cash.
