Excusez mon français! Whether you're trying to pass a fellow runner or walker or attempting to speak the Language of Love, we're ready to bring back this summer classic celebrating summer! Welcome back the Bastille Day 5K & 8K Run/Walk to Lincoln Park. While this race may have started in the West Loop, it's true home is in Lincoln Park.

Bastille Day itself is the common term used by English-speaking countries for French National Day. It is the anniversary of Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution. In France, they celebrate with fireworks over the Eiffel Tower and aerobatic displays from the French Air Force.
