Since 1994, the 5K Run and Fitness Walk has been a part of Paducah’s Barbecue on the River. More than 500 runners and walkers come from across the U.S. to participate in the race where we utilize a chip timing system to produce accurate results. This is a wonderful event that promotes health, fitness and a fun time for everyone; serious runners, kids, corporate teams, running clubs, entire families, or community groups can join in. The course is flat and fast, perfect for a PR (Personal Record). Since 2001, the race has also offered a 1-mile Youth Run to children ages 12 and under.

Registration fees go up after 9/10! Pre-registration for the 5K is $30. After 9/10, race registration for the 5K is $35. Pre-registration for a child for the one mile youth run is $10. After 9/10, race registration for the one mile youth run is $15. Shirts will be guaranteed for those registered by 9/10.

The race course for the 5K and the 1-mile Youth Run begins in downtown Paducah at the Paducah Bank main branch, located at 555 Jefferson Street.
