Message from the RunFest Race Directors
The 2021 Anchorage RunFest is scheduled for August 21 & 22. On behalf of the Race Committee, we promise to produce a professional, organized event. It’s what our participants have come to know and enjoy. We vow to continue our hard-earned reputation by, once again, offering a fantastic Last Frontier experience for everyone – participants, volunteers and sponsors. Anchorage’s awesome surroundings — mountains, waterways, and wildlife — fuels our desire to share and continues to inspire our efforts.
While we currently do not know what challenges COVID-19 may present next summer, we will definitely return with an in-person event. Anchorage RunFest races will follow health guidelines set by state and local authorities. This may involve modifications such as course changes, prepackaged food, and assigned wave starts — all changes we will consider to safeguard the health of participants.
Our vast experience promises to aid us in moving ahead, adapting and adjusting as necessary. We look forward to a brilliant, competitive, fun, and safe RunFest 2021!
We will keep you informed as we proceed to race day.

Welcome to Anchorage RunFest, the largest event and main fundraiser for the Anchorage Running Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This event will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 and Sunday, August 22, 2021. Proceeds are used to help defray the costs of the Kids’ 2K (free for all participants), for college scholarships to high school runners, and to support local organizations whose missions are in line with the Club’s goal to promote healthy lifestyles through running and exercise.
